Other Picture Tips From Seasoned Etsy Sellers

Camera angles can really add to a photograph. Place items slightly off center and it can be very dynamic and give a lot of edge to any photo.

Keep it tight. If the frame is completely filled potential customers can see how large the item really is. Sellers can also use something as comparison by laying it next to the item that is for sale.

Blurry backgrounds with an item standing out clearly are a great sales tactic that many sellers swear by.

Less is always more. Never crowd pictures with objects that should not be included unless it is one small item to show a size comparison.

Do group similar items together such as several smaller items, just make sure that potential customers know exactly which item is for sale.

Follow the rule of thirds. Picture a box with nine separate sections. Place the photos where vertical lines will intersect with horizontal lines. This adds a visual interest to the photo. Remember, these lines are invisible.
